Jacob's Brand Logo Jacob’s Cream Crackers were originally created in 1885, using a unique and innovative technique to make crackers with a distinctive crispy outside and slightly softer textured centre, and that classic yeasty dough flavour.

Since then, Jacob’s Cream Crackers have been and remain the classic cracker brand using the same special baking techniques, and today Jacob’s Cream Crackers remain the fastest selling crackers in the UK. With Jacob’s the Number 1 brand in crackers, the range of today is much broader than just Cream Crackers. Jacob’s offer a full range of crackers for every occasion and topping, including Choice Grain multigrain crackers, the flakey Cornish Wafer puff crackers, classic Water Biscuits baked to a dark, nutty finish, and the Mediterraneo range of crackers including flavours such as Sundried tomato, Pesto, Garlic and Oregano.

All of these crackers are brought together in the Jacob’s Biscuits for Cheese range, which are a staple Christmas purchase for many households. With the current renewed interest in high quality cheeses and local farm produce, the Biscuits for Cheese assortments are selling more and more every year and all year round in different pack sizes.

In January 2005 Jacob’s launched their Essentials Crackers, combining unique slow-baking technology to retain the goodness of the whole grains, and carefully selected seeds and herbs to provide natural vitamins and minerals.

Since UB bought the Jacob’s business and brand in September 2004, there has been renewed focus on developing this classic crackers brand.

In addition to the core Crackers ranges, Jacob’s Thai Bites were launched in 2000 and are the no2 rice cracker brand in the UK. Made in Thailand, they bring some safe adventure with interesting oriental flavours on simple rice crackers with less than 5% fat content.

The savoury biscuit & snacks range acquired by UB in 2004 also includes well known favourites such as Club, Iced Gems, Fig Rolls, Cheddars and Twiglets, and a number of successful licensed brands such as Tuc, Ritz, Hovis crackers and Fortt’s Bath Olivers. The full range, combined with UB’s existing savoury biscuits business such as Carr’s, makes UB the No1 manufacturer in UK savoury biscuits.

In 2006 the Jacob's range was relaunched with a new pack design and the introduction of Jacob's Light Cream Crackers, Roasted Garlic Cream Crackers, High Fibre Cream Crackers and Jacob's Digestive for Cheese.

Jacob's Cornish Wafer is now 25% lower in saturated fat.
